FischerSIPS makes 7/16" OSB Standard    Beginning January 2003, we will now be providing 7/16" OSB by Weyerheauser as our standard skin thickness. Prices will be increased by 5% on Jan. 1, 2003 as a result. This is our first price increase since 1999. "We made the decision to go with 7/16" after talking with our customers." Said Damian Pataluna, Division Manager, "There is a perception in the marketplace that 3/8" OSB is an inferior product," This is however, incorrect, as testing on panels will show they are quite nearly equal once laminated to an EPS core. Customer perception is hard to overcome, and with more and more testing being done by SIPA (the Structural Insulated Panel Association) using 7/16" OSB, it makes sense to change to the 7/16" OSB.       Select A Page To View
