The new Roth Center in Louisville, built for the Jewish Family and Vocational Services is a 15,000 SF structure built using 10 1/4 SIP walls & roof. It's ceiling height soars from 15 feet up to 24 feet tall. It was designed by Mark Isaacs of Isaacs & Associates and built by Bornstein Building Company, both of Louisville, KY.
The structure is an all-wood support with exposed ceilings. It is fully staffed and must maintain a climate comfortable enough for classrooms for training as well as family counseling. Reports of the utility bills thus far for the year have been incredibly low, considering the building is heated with gas. In January While other structures of it's size were reporting energy bills in the $2000-$3,000 range, theirs came back at less than $1,300 (only $692 of which was space heating) !!! Needless to say, the owners were quite pleased with the SIP results
