Our current Project of the Month is a job by Tim Adgate.
This 40x60 single story home is located in scenic Mountain
City, Tennessee. For his project, Tim used 4 ½”
wall panels and 4’x24’x10 ½” roof
panels. Fischer SIPS provided him with full pre-cut panels.
The
10 ½” panels are the thickest we make, giving
Tim the strongest and most energy efficient roof that we
have to offer. These panels are ideal for his vaulted ceilings.
Tim choose to use SIPS to give his home superior strength
to handle the heavy wind loads coming off the near by mountains,
while at the same time save him money on his energy bills.
Tim
Adgate is an independent do it yourself contractor. This
was not only his first project using Fischer SIPS, but was
also his first construction project. He said that he decided
to use SIPs because he was a novice and that building with
SIPs was like putting together a jigsaw puzzle. He was also
concerned about rising energy costs and found that SIPs
offer superior insulation. Tim chose Fischer after shopping
around with several of our competitors because he said that
we were upfront about our prices and that our salesmen were
very helpful.
